New Year, New Uniform

Fall 2010 is just around the corner and soon enough you’ll be hangin with all your friends, seeing how this school year is gonna be different. Maybe the one teacher who everyone kept telling you to avoid won’t be so bad after all or maybe you’ll finally run for a position on campus. But one thing is for sure…that boring plaid uniform that you dread wearing is getting a makeover. Ladies, this doesn’t mean rolling up your skirts or unbuttoning your shirt…we’re talking trendy not trashy!

Jazzing up that school uniform is easy and fun and will for sure keep your 2010 fashion game up. Here are a few ideas:

Book Bags

Ditch those backpacks for something better. Cross bodies, totes and sachels are the new backpack. They're practical and cheap and will give you a fresh, new swag. They come in a bunch of colors and patterns that are a great for getting you from summer to fall, or better yet, from 3rd to 4th period. Just throw it in the bag!

Scarves, Hats and Belts

Accessorize
, accessorize, accessorize! We hear it so many times because it’s true! Scarves are great addition to the neckline, hats are cute way of getting through those bad hair days, and belts help add some definition to those boxy uniform blouses. All three though, are perfect for adding color and style to your uniforms. Oh, and don’t forget about the rings, necklaces and earings we can't live without!

Leggings & Tights

If you prefer to wear your uniform skirt in the cooler months, this is the way to keep that uniform funky and colorful. Leggings and tights keep you warm and help set you apart from the rest of the class.

There's a lot you can do to express your individuality, even if you do have to wear a school uniform. The good thing is that there are plenty of places you can go to find the latest accessories that will help you make your grand entrance into this school year!
